ACC gets first female secretary

Dhaka, Feb 09: The government promoted additional secretary of public administration ministry Khorsheda Yasmeen and appointed her as the secretary of the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The ministry issued a notification on Thursday regarding Khorsheda’s promotion and new posting.

Following the appointment, Khorsheda Yasmeen will be the first female secretary at ACC since the commission was formed on November 21, 2004, as per the Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2004.

In a separate notification, the public administration ministry also transferred the ACC secretary Md Mahbub Hossain to the ministry of labour and employment as secretary.

Meanwhile, labour and employment ministry secretary Ehsan Elahi’s remaining period of contract has been cancelled following his application.

 

 

Ehsan has been serving the ministry on contract since November 23 last year.
