No ultimatum will bring benefit as long as people are with Sheikh Hasina: Quader

Dhaka, Oct 17: Road, transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday said that no ultimatum or message would work as long as the people of Bangladesh stay with prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

The government will not even move a little from what the constitution said, the minister said while speaking at a program as the chief guest at Laboratory School and College in Dhaka University area on the occasion of the 60th birth anniversary of Sheikh Russel.

‘BNP is conspiring to carry out sabotage by bringing terrorists from all over the country to Dhaka. The Awami League government is ready to give a befitting reply to this attempt,’ the minister said.

Addressing Bangladesh’s friendly countries, the minister said that election would be held in Bangladesh as per the constitution and this election will be free, fair and acceptable.

Awami League presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, joint general secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, organizing secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, relief and social welfare affairs secretary Aminul Islam Amin and many other leaders of Awami League also spoke on the occasion.
