Dhaka, Sep 02: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir along with his wife and daughter returned home on Saturday evening after treatment in Singapore.
They arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport via a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight around 6:30 pm, his private assistant Md Yunus Ali told the media.
Earlier on August 24, Mirza Fakhrul along with his wife Rahat Ara Begum and daughter Mirza Safaruh went to Singapore for treatment.
He and his wife have been suffering from various complications.
A few years ago, he received treatment at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore for block detected in the internal carotid artery of his neck.
Since then, he has to go to the hospital every year for follow-up treatment.
His wife, however, recently underwent an operation at Raffles Hospital in Singapore.
