1 killed, 3 burnt in fire after blast in N’ganj

Narayanganj, Mar 18: One person was killed and three others suffered burn injuries when a fire broke out at a building after an explosion of an electric transformer at Dail Potti in Nitaiganj area of Narayanganj on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Awlad Hossain, 55.

The injured are Rabi Dutta, 40, Md Hossain, 50 and Md Hazrat Ali, 48. They all are the workers. blast

Narayanganj Fire Service said the building is quite old. A fire broke out at the building after the explosion. Later, four injured people were brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared Awlad dead.

The building has been declared risky after the incident, the fire service said.
