3 of a family killed as bus hits motorbike

Thakurgaon, Nov 27: Three members of a family were killed after a bus hit a motorcycle on Thakurgaon-Baliadangi road at Palli Bidyut area in Thakurgaon on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Masud Rana of Haripur college para at Rahimanpur union in the district, his wife Hafiza Begum and their daughter Simi.

Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Thakurgaon Sadar Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Quoting locals, the OC said, Masud along with his wife and daughter was going to a madrasa on a motorcycle. When the motorcycle reached at Palli Bidyut area, a bus of Hanif Enterprise hit it, leaving Hafiza dead on the spot and two others injured. Later, local people rushed the injured Masud and Simi to the hospital where the doctors declared them dead.
