Coronavirus: Bangladesh declared ‘vulnerable-to-infection’ zone


Dhaka, April 16: The entire country has been declared as a zone vulnerable to coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.The Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) issued a release in this regard on Thursday evening under the Infectious Disease (Prevention, Control and Elimination) Act, 2018.

The DGH, therefore, urged people to strictly abide by the following restrictions:

People must stay at home to prevent the spread of infectious coronavirus. No one should go out unless there is any emergency reason.

The movement of people from one area to another has been restricted.

No-one will be allowed to come out of home from 6pm to 6am.

Stern action will be taken under the law mentioned above against the violators of the order.

Meanwhile, 10 more people died from coronavirus in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, the highest number of deaths, till Thursday, taking the death toll in the country to 60.
