Abrar murder: BUET students postpone demonstration


Dhaka, October 15: The students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) have postponed their demonstration programme that was enforced over the murder of Abrar Fahad.The agitators declared this at Shaheed Minar premises of the university on Tuesday evening.

The students would not attend the class until the killers of Abrar have been suspended permanently, they said.

Abrar Fahad, 21, a second-year student of electrical and electronic engineering of BUET, was beaten to death on October 7 by Chhatra League leaders at BUET’s Sher-e-Bangla Hall.

Abrar’s father Barkatullah filed the case at Chawkbazar Police Station on Monday evening accusing 19 people. So far, 20 accused have been arrested.
