3 Rohingya drug paddlers killed in Cox’s Bazar ‘gunfight’


Cox’s Bazar, June 07: Three suspected Rohingya drug paddlers have been killed in a “gunfight” with police in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.The incident occurred near the Naaf river around 2;30am early on Thursday.

The deceased are identified as- Hamid (22) son of Azizur Rahman of Lada refugee camp, Shamsul Alam (34) son of Noor Muhammad of Khayangkhali refugee camp-13 and Nurul Alam (23) son of Mukhtar Ahmed of the same camp.

One of the members of police has also injured during exchange of fire, officer-in-charge of Teknaf police station Prodeep Kumar said.
