Bangladesh Team Manager Khaled Mashud Pilot speaks to the media following the incident of shooting in Christchurch. Blackcaps (NZC) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board cancelled the Hagley Oval Test, Pilot said in twitter message.

Several Bangladeshis were also wounded in the terrorist attack. “Two of them are in critical condition,” Shafiqur Rahman Bhuiyan said.

Another Bangladeshi has been missing since the shooting during Jum’a prayers.

New Zealand government says 49 people have been killed and more than 20 seriously wounded in shootings at two mosques. Four suspects have been detained.

Bangladesh cricket team, currently in Christchurch to play against New Zealand, narrowly escaped the attack. The third and final Test between Tigers and the Kiwis has been called off.

“We’re making arrangements to send them back home as early as possible,” Bhuiyan said.
