Six people killed in Pabna road crash

Pabna, August 15: At least sisx people were killed when a loaded truck rammed into an auto-rickshaw on the highway at the district’s Sujanagar Upazila around 8am on Monday.

The deceased were identified as—Abul Kalam, Abdul Malek, Sadhan and Hasina Khatun. The deceased were from Sathia and Sujanagar of Pabna. The another deceased yet to be identified.

According to officer-in-charge of Aminpur police station Tazul Huda, the crash left four people dead on the spot while two others died while being taken to hospital.

The accident took place around 7.00am in Kashinathpur area under Aminpur Thana.

He said a Pabna-bound truck loaded with sand collided with the auto-rickshaw coming from opposite side, leaving four dead on the spot.

The injured have been admitted to Bera Upazila Health Complex.
