Shipping reporters forum hosts iftar party

Dhaka, June 28: Shipping minister Shajahan Khan on Tuesday urged the journalists to make reports maintaining journalism ethics.

“We welcome criticism. Journalists can play a pioneer role in their writings. We can take suggestions from their reports,” the minister said while addressing an iftar party organized by Shipping Reporters Forum, Bangladesh in the city.

Among others, shipping secretary Ashok Madhab Roy, BIWTC chairman Mizanur Rahman, shipping additional secretary Rafiqul Islam, BIWTA additional chief engineer (dredging) Rakibul Islam Talukder, organization president Timir Dutta, former president Anisur Rahman Khan, geberal secretary Kazi Zebel and other leaders of the organization attended the iftar party.

Shajahan Khan also urged the people of the country to resist militancy unitedly.

He also assured to form a welfare fund for the shipping reporters.
