Dhaka, July 22: Bangladesh handed over samples to FBI that collected from the bodies of militants killed in Holey Artisan Bakery attack in Gulshan.
The US Investigation Agency FBI wanted the samples for test in its laboratory.
Bangladesh police handed over the samples to FBI on Friday morning.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commissioner (Media) Mohammad Masudur Rahman said the investigating officer of the Counter Terrorism Unit handed over the samples of killed six militants to FBI agent.
“Samples of hair and blood of five militants including a suspect involved in the Gulshan attack handed over to FBI for testing,” he told reporters.
On Wednesday, Assistant Professor Sohel Mahmud of the Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital had said that they collected 20 milliliters of blood and 30 hairs from the six bodies for second time.
Six militants have been killed after massacring at least 22 people in an attack on a restaurant in Holey Artisan Bakery in Gulshan.
