Dhaka, June 8: The ruling party Awami League (AL) activists including several organisations on Wednesday tried to besiege the Pakistan High Commission (HC) in Dhaka alleging that they are involved in conspiracy against Bangladesh.
Protesters under the banner of Muktijoddah Samannoy Parishad, Amra MuktiJoddhar Santan, Sramik League, Chatra League and other organizations began to gather from 10.00am at Gulshan-2.
But the police obstructed them to besiege it.
They later burnt Pakistan flag near Bhatara Police Station and chanted slogans demanding severing ties with Islamabad.
“The recent killings in Bangladesh have occurred as part of the conspiracy of Pakistan’s ISI and Mosad of Israel,” Rahmat Ullah said.
He also called for severing Dhaka-Islamabad flights.
