Police detained women cricketer with 14,000 Yaba pills


Chattagram, Apr 22: Police have detained Nazbin Khan Mukta, a player of Bangladesh Ansar & VDP Women Cricket Team along with 14, 000 Yaba pills from the Shah Amanat Bridge area under Baklia Police Station of Chattagram.Confirming the news, Officer in-charge of Baklia police station Pronob Chowdhury said that police on Sunday morning detained Mukta who identified herself as a cricketer of Ansar & VDP Women Cricket Team along with 14,000 Yeaba pills from a Dhaka-bound bus from Cox’s Bazar near the Shah Amanat Bridge area under the jurisdiction of Baklia Police Station.

In primary interrogation, Mukta confessed that she collected the pills from Nahid who lives in Cox’s Bazar and intended to deliver Ripon who lives in Dhaka, OC added.

Mukta, a daughter of Abul Khayer who is resident of Trishal Mothbari area of Mymensingh. She lives at Segunbagicha in Dhaka.

Earlier, she took admission in Sociology department of Jagannath University. But, the university authority cancelled her admission as she didn’t continue her regular academic activities.
