International desk, December 16: A schoolboy was abducted and brutally attacked in an honour beating by a Pakistani gang because he was dating a girl from their family, a court heard. The Bengali lad, 16, was repeatedly kicked in the head and hit with weapons as his attackers shouted: “Don’t mess with our blood – find someone of your own kind”.
The Bengali student was taken prisoner by the Pakistani girl’s uncle, before her father, brother and cousin all joined in the attack, a court was told.
Another man was heard screaming: “Kill him, kick him in the head, finish him off”.
He was then taken away and dumped near a local barber’s shop, Preston Crown Court in UK heard.
The boy, from Blackburn, Lancs, was later treated in hospital for injuries that appeared to be inflicted by a knuckleduster.
He was left with a scar to his head and is now too scared to leave home by himself.
Appearing in court on Friday were the girl’s father Mirza Baig, 48, as well as brother Khizum, 29, cousin Saqib, 29, and uncle Ghazanfar, 37.
All four thugs pleaded guilty to affray and will be sentenced next week.
Dad-of-seven Ghazanfar had spotted the boy walking with his niece in Preston on March 7 last year and their secret romance was exposed.
Nicholas Flanagan prosecuting said: “Once they were in the car Ghanzafar locked the doors and sped off up the road telling him ‘you better not be f***ing with my niece’.”
He then rang taxi driver Mirza, his son and his nephew telling them to gather near his house and bring weapons, he added.
They then looked through his phone to find messages between the boy and their relative and began their horrific attack.
The court heard police tried to interview locals in the cul-de-sac but the only witness who assisted with the investigation was the victim himself.
