Dhaka, July 5: No bags except ‘jaenamaz’ would be allowed to carry to National Eidgah (field) in the capital for the sake of security, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said on Tuesday.
“There is no specific threat to this end. But, we will be remained alert,” he told reporters after visiting to the National Eidgah to oversee the security arrangement of the Eid prayers venue and its adjoining areas.
The DMP commissioner also rejected of any threat ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr, he said in reply to a query in this regard.
Answering to another question over the terrorist attack at a Spanish bakery at Gulshan, he also said, “The attack is part of an international and local conspiracy.
The people who want to hinder democracy and development of the country are involved in the attack.”
The DMP chief sounded a note warning saying that the motivators, financers, and shelter providers of the militants will not be spared and they must face the music.
