Dhaka, Jan 19: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday directed the authorities concerned not to allow for setting up any new industries at the city’s Tejgaon area.
The Premier made the direction while addressing Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) at NEC conference room in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Sheikh Hasina said that no more new industries can be setup in Tejgaon, but buildings can be built for commercial purposes.
Quoting the Prime Minister, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said, “She also provided direction to complete the Moghbazar-Mouchak flyovers construction soon within stipulated period.”
The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday (January 19) approved 10 development projects involving a cost of Tk 4,830.92-crore.
