Dhaka, July 20: Bangladesh’s bowling sensation and speedster Mustafizur Rahman left Dhaka for London on Wednesday morning to play for Sussex in the Natwest T20 Blast.
There was a bit of uncertainty surrounding the pacer`s departure owing to certain visa issues in the last few days, but the BCB confirmed that Mustafizur had received his visa on Tuesday.
He left Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport at 10:20am.
Tigers Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim greeted the young pace sensation in front of the BCB Academy prior to Mustafiz’s departure to the airport.
This is the Satkhira lad’s second trip to the English land after his maiden tour to the UK in August 2013, when he was a member of the Under-19 cricket team.
Mustafiz is likely to join action the very next day as his team take on Chelmsford Essex County Cricket Club on Thursday.
Sussex team sources said the pace sensation will play for them in the Royal London One Day Cup and the Natwest T20 Blast, meaning he will play in seven matches. However, the number will increase should the team qualifies for the knockouts.
