Dhaka, August 11: The Canadian University of Bangladesh(CUB) and the Farmer’s Bank Limited on Thursday signed MOU to provide CUB students with meaningful work experiences that complement their practice based academic programs.
The MOU was signed by A. K. M. Shameem, Managing Director & CEO of the Farmers Bank Limited and William H. Derrenger, Vice Chancellor of Canadian University.
Among others, Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Founder & Chairman of Canadian University, Chowdhury Jafarullah Sarafat, Vice Chairman, Chowdhury Raheeb Sarafat, Member of Trustee Board, Chowdhury Jahraa Sarafat, Member of Trustee Board, Maj Gen Kazi Ashfaq Ahmed, psc (Retd) and Registrar Md. Fayekuzzaman, Treasurer of Canadian University of Bangladesh were present during signing ceremony.
The purpose of this understanding is to provide CUB students with meaningful work experiences that complement their practice based academic programs.
With this MOU, Canadian University and Farmer’s Bank aim to promote mutual understanding between the two institutions and advance educational exchange and collaboration. Both parties will join hands in nurturing the next generation of competent banking professionals.
For its part, The Farmers Bank Limited is keen to have opportunities to pre-screen high potential CUB graduates to determine their suitability for an internship assignment and appointment of Management Trainee Officer. The Farmer’s Bank will encourage and support the learning aspect of the student’s practical’s and internship assignment.
