Coxsbazar, May 23: Local and national NGOs in a workshop urged for multiyear localization response and development planning of Coxsbazar district toward Rohingya response until repatriation.They place their demands through a workshop held at Coxsbazar on May 23.
The district’s Civil Society and NGO Forum (CCNF) have organized the workshop in cooperation with COAST at a local hotel on localization.
About 82 participants from around 47 local and national NGOs took part at the workshop.
Speakers urged the government, UN agencies and INGOs to roll back from field operation and take multiyear localization response and development planning for district toward Rohingya response until the repatriation happened.
The workshop was presided by Abu Moshed Chowdhury, Executive Director PHALS and Co-Chairof CCNF.
The workshop inaugurated by Mohammed Abul Kalam NDC Relief Rehabilitation and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC). The workshop was moderated by Rezaul Karim Chowdhury of COAST.
Among others, Bimal Chandra Dey Sarkar of Mukti Coxsbazar, Ms. Sheuly Sharma of Jago Nari, Abul Kashem of Help Ukhiya, Barkat Ullah Maruf of COAST and Ms. Nabila Tarannum Khan of Gonoshastya Kendra spoke at the workshop.
