Meanwhile, crowds of BNP leaders and activists were hampering traffic on the vital road.

On July 15, Khaleda went to the UK for ‘medical treatment’ as well as unofficial meetings with her elder son Tarique Rahman. She was accompanied by her private secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and domestic help Fatema during her London trip.

She stayed at the house of Tarique Rahman, who holds the second most powerful position within the party and has been living along with his wife Zubaida Rahman and daughter Zaima Rahman in the UK since 2008.

Khaleda celebrated the Eid-ul-Azha there with her family members, including Tarique Rahman, his wife and daughter and the wife and daughters of her younger son late Arafat Rahman Koko in London.
