JP MP demands Nahid’s resignation in parliament

Dhaka, Feb 5: Jatiya Party Lawmaker Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu on Monday demanded immediate resignation of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid for his failure to stop the menace of question paper leakage in public examinations.

The lawmaker came up with the demand while addressing parliament in the afternoon.

Bablu also called upon Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to sack Nahid and appoint another minister to save millions of student’s education life.

“Question leakage in different examinations has turned epidemic as it is taking place frequently,” said Bablu coming down heavily on the education minister.

He also told the House: “The education minister has declared Tk 5 lakh bounty to nab persons involved in question paper leakage.”

But advertisement inviting money for getting leaked question papers is available in social media even today, he said.

“We have achieved a lot in the last several years. But all will go in vain if we cannot educate our next generation in true sense,” he said.
