Dhaka, June 23: Finance Minister AMA Muhith should resign from the cabinet as he (Muhith) failed to maintain discipline in the financial sector, Jatiya Party lawmaker Ziauddin Bablu said in Parliament on Thursday.
The lawmaker of the main opposition placed the demand at a discussion on the budget for 2016-17 in the Parliament.
Bablu told the House, “Finance Minister Muhith has admitted that there has been a huge theft in the banking sector like Bangladesh Bank. After such an admission, he should not hold the position of finance minister. He must resign.”
Meanwhile, Bablu also condemned and criticized the recent “gunfights” that led to the death of two militants, who were allegedly involved with blogger murders.
