Dhaka, January 29: Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhith on Sunday visibly annoyed with a reporters question passed at him on the quality of works in different projects on climate change.
The reporter passed the question to finance minister that fund not being used properly in climate change projects but the minister had reportedly torn off the slip containing the question shortly before the tea break on a workshop to combat the effects of the change in a city hotel.
Reporters attending the workshop jointly organized by the finance division of the finance ministry and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) said, the  minister tore  the slip containing the  question into pieces.
The Finance Minister asked the reporter ‘what do you know about what is happening in the different projects on climate change.
‘Who told you the quality of their implementation was poor. Where is the poor quality’, he asked.
“Who has raised it, it’s a nonsense question. Do you know what is being done? Bangladesh is the best performer in implementation of the projects. I am challenging you,” Muhith claimed.
At this stage, the minister tore the slip containing the question and hurled it away. He was then taken off the dais to the front row of participants of the workshop by officials to join the tea break.
