Dhaka, August 1: The ministry of education on Monday said the results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2016 will be published on August 18.
While, Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations will start from November 1 this year, the primary and mass education ministry also said on Monday.
All education board would publish the HSC results at the same time after the press conference of the education ministry.
Before it, education minister Nurul Islam Nahid accompanied by all the education board chairmen would hand over the copies of the result to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The theoretical examinations started on April 3 and concluded on June 9 and the practical examinations after the written tests held between June 11 and June 20.
The schedule of the JSC and JDC examinations was finalised on Monday at a meeting held at the secretariat.
Secretary of primary and mass education ministry Humayun Khalid said, “The exams will be held between Nov 1 and 17. Other issues over the exams will remain the same as of last year.”
The eight education boards and the madrasa board will cooperate with the ministry for holding the tests.
The exams will begin at 10am and students are not allowed to use scientific calculators.
Apart from students, the teachers will not be allowed to bring mobile phones at exam centres this year. As per the ministry decision, only the centre secretaries will be allowed to use mobile phones.
