Dhaka, June 30: Eid-Ul-Fitr is knocking door. Homebound people have started leaving the capital to celebrate Eid festival with their families.
More than one crore city dwellers are leaving Dhaka to celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr with near and dear ones at their village homes.
Moreover, large crowds of passengers are also seen at the city’s bus and launch terminals, and train stations on Thursday.
Many home-goers look very cheerful as they were going to their native places on the occasion of the festival.
The Sadarghat terminal experienced hundreds of people to travel their homes in southern districts safely.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) has also taken special initiatives to arrange a hassle free journey for homebound people.
Buses saw reduced number of passengers on Thursday, but the number is expected to be increased with the day progressing.
Trains were also a popular choice to the people of all professionals.
The overall outbound transport situation is expected to gain momentum throughout the day, and the rush is expected to be greater on Thursday as the public holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr is going to be started from Friday.
