Govt appoints newly 27 AAGs, relieves 23

Dhaka, June 12: The government on Monday appointed 27 new assistant attorney generals (AAGs) till further order and relieved 23 of their duties from the same post.

The government made the new appointments as per article 3 (1) of The Bangladesh Law Officers Order, 1972 (P.O. No. 6 of 1972).

The newly appointed assistant attorney generals are Syeda Sabina Ahmed (Moli), Afifa Begum, Anis Ul Mawa (Arju), Saira Firoz, Helena Begum (China), Md Asaduzzaman, Lucky Begum, Md Shafiquzzaman, Mizanur Rahman Khan, Mohammad Akhter Hossain, Syed Bashir Hossain Chowdhury, Nusrat Jahan and Abul Kalam Khan (Daud), Sandhya Ghosh, Md Nasim Islam, Md Majibur Rahman, Md Ashraf Uddin Khan, Mehedi Hasan, Nirmal Kumar Das, Zahir Ahamed, Sathi Shahajahan, Zakir Hossain, Irene Zahan, Prohlad Debnath, Abul Hossain Md Ziauddin, Ashik Rubayat and Nazimul Islam Raju.

The AAGs, who were relieved of their posts are Sadhan Kumar Banik, Delwara Begum Bela, Eyadia Zaman, Ms Anwara Khanam, Bilkis Fatema, Md Matiur Rahman Howlader, Md Abdul Bari, Md Nurul Huque, Md Monwar Hossain, Abdur Rahman Howlader, Bahauddin Ahamed, Touhida Khatun (Rina) and Abu Saleh Mohammad Fazle Rabbi Khan, Md Jaber, Md Mozammel Huque Rana, Khandaker Modasser Elahi (Tiru), Mia Sirajul Islam, SM Asadullah Tareq, Alhaj Md Shahidul Islam Khan, ABM Mahbub, Md Mamnur Rashid, Md Shoaib Khan and Nawajish Ara Begum.
