Dhaka, Jan 9: A four-storey building situated at House No-19/8, Block-C on Taj Mohal Road in Mohammadpur on Saturday afternoon.
Sources at the Fire Service headquarters said the residents of the 4-storey building were evacuated when it tilted around 3:14 pm.
According to duty officer of Mohammapur Police Station Sub-Inspector Nazrul Islam Nayon, the building was evacuated as it became unfit for living.
“Police and members of fire fighting were staying there after the incident,” he said.
Nayon also said the building slightly tilted towards the west side. However, no casualty was reported.
One fire fighter unit has already reached the spot, said Bhajan Kumar Sarker, duty officer of Fire Service Central Control Room.
