Five people injured in Savar separate bomb attacks

Savar, June6: Five people including a schoolboy were injured as miscreants blasted crude bombs in two separate incidents in Saver upazila on Monday.

Three injured of the restaurant employees were identified as Samir, 15, Billal, 16, and Saikat 14.

In Ashulia, three miscreants riding a motorcycle came in front of ‘Sumiya Hotel and Restaurant’ on the Nabinagar-Chandra highway around 6:00am and blasted a crude bomb while the staff there were busy in work, leaving four of them critically injured, said the restaurant owner, Ibrahim.

The injured were admitted to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital.

Informed, police visited the spot, said Mohsinul Kader, officer-in-charge of Ashulia model police station.

In another incident, schoolboy Mostafizur Rahman Mahim, 14, received injuries as miscreants exploded a crude bomb in Harindhora area of Hemayetpur in the morning, said SM Kamruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Savar model police station.

The injured boy was admitted to the same hospital.
