Ex-minister Quamrul distributes relief materials among 2,540 families in Keraniganj


Dhaka, April 18: Former Food Minister Quamrul Islam, also a lawmaker from Dhaka’s Keraniganj constituency, on Saturday distributed relief materials among 2,540 families.Following the directives of the Prime Minister, the former minister distributed the relief materials among the poor and destitute families, who have become temporarily jobless due to coronavirus, from his own fund.

At the same time, he has also distributed the relief materials allocated by the government to the people of his constituency, he said while talking to this correspondent.

Ruling Awami League Quamrul Islam said that he has already given relief materials several times among the people of his constituency. At the same time, the leaders of the ruling party and its associate bodies are also asked to stand beside the distressed people during hard time.

On Saturday, Quamrul Islam distributed food grain and relief materials among the people of West Baragram, West Islamnagar and Middle Islamnagar.

Local ward no. 56 ward councilor Mohammad Hossain also accompanied the local MP.
