Dhaka, Jan 19: The education ministry on Tuesday expressed concern over the security system of the educational institutions across the country and asked all the institutions to deploy uniformed security guards immediately at the gates of the institutions to ensure its security.
Ministry sources said that the educational institutions including general, madrasa, technical and English Medium schools to deploy uniformed security guard of their own.
The ministry in a circular on Tuesday also directed the educational institutions to form a vigilance team comprising the teachers for the entire security of the institutions.
The circular said the entire security system of the educational institutions in the Dhaka Mahanagar and other divisional cities as well as the district Sadar is not satisfactory.
It said that the internal security system becomes vulnerable because of various reasons in different times, creating a sense of anxiety among the students, teachers and guardians.
As a result, such anxious situation hampers the regular teachings of the educational institutions, the discipline of the institutions is violated and it leads to the risk of life and property, the circular said.
The circular also said about the control of the staying of other people except teachers-employees during the class.
The guard can be more than one and there will be one guard at each gate of the educational institutions to ensure security, ministry sources said.
