DPL to start from Friday

Dhaka, April 21: Dhaka Premier Cricket League (DPL) 2015/16 is all set to start on Friday. Three matches to be held on Friday. Teams are ready with their players. Some of the teams have also bought foreign cricketers.

Prime Bank Cricket Club vs Gazi Group Cricketers at Mirpur: Defending Champions Prime Bank will face Gazi Group Cricketers. Sabbir Rahman is their icon. The team has also Rubel Hossain who is coming back to cricket from injury, Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury and Nurul Hasan Sohan. Among the young promising cricketers, Mehedi Maruf, Yasir Ali Rabbi and Nazmul Islam Apu will be the key. Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik was not given No Objection Certificate (NOC) by PCB to play for the team.

Gazi Group Cricketers has experienced cricketers like Alok Kapali, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Elias Sunny and Shamsur Rahman. This team will also look to start the season with a win over defending Champions. Among the foreign cricketers, Pakistani Saeed Anwar Junior.

Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club vs Cricket Coaching School at BKSP-3:

No doubt Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club has a good team having Nasir Hossain, Al-Amin Hossain and Rony Talukdar in the squad. They also have Farhad Reza, Rakibul Hasan, and Rahatul Ferdous in the team.

Cricket Coaching School has a young team which will look to upset the other big teams in DPL. From U19 team, Mohammad Saifuddin, Saleh Ahmed Shawon, Saif Hassan, Pinak Ghosh and Saeed Sarkar will represent for the team.

Abahani Limited vs Kalabagan Krira Chakra at Fatullah:

The Runners-up of last season, Abahani will take on Kalabagan Krira Chakra at KSOAS. It will be a big match as it will be the game between Tamim Iqbal and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. Abahani are the hot favorites of DPL 2015/16 having Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan (will be available after IPL), Taskin Ahmed and Tapas Baishya. Tamim struck a century in the practice match against Prime Bank. Litton Kumar Das, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Jubair Hossain Likhon and Nazmul Hossain Shanto are the young promising cricketers. Sri Lanka’s cricketer Chamara Kapugedera is also in the team.

Captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will be the plus point for Kalabagan Krira Chakra. They also have experienced Abdur Razzak, Mehrab Junior and Robiul Islam in the team. Sadman Islam Anik, Tasamul Haque, Dewan Sabbir Ahmed and Nihaduzzaman are the young guns.

Every match has a reserve day. Even, if any game of a day is not needed to play on a reserve day, new games will not be held.
