Cox’s Bazar, November 06: Ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Monday asked leaders and activists of the party not to take political opponent BNP lightly, weak.“BNP may be disorganized now, but it is a big party. It has a big popular base. There is no need to think it is weak. So, don’t underestimate BNP,” he said.
Obaidul, also Road Transportation and Bridges Minister, made the plea while speaking at a function at ‘Public Library Auditorium’ of Cox’s Bazar.
He also observed that all anti-Awami League, anti-liberation and communal forces will back BNP in the next elections.
Obaidul said the threat of mass revolt that’s coming from BNP is just a strategy of stimulate party leaders-activists.
Their threat of mass movement has become a nightmare for them, he said.
He added: “Their dream of mass protest belongs to the museum. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s developmental works and achievement overshadowed everything.”
The youth will make AL victorious in the next election. So, the party should concentrate its attention towards the youth, Obaidul said.
He also forewarned that the known terrorist, extortionists and land grabbers can’t be members of Awami League.
