Dhaka, April 14: Democracy has been uprooted from the country and the society for establishing a one-party rule, according to a massage, sent on Wednesday to media on the eve of Bangla New year from Khaleda Zia, Chairpersons of Bangladesh National Party (BNP).
“A hegemony culture is being replaced in our culture by a bad way according to a master plan day by day of foreign cultures. They make various new plans daily, so that we fall in their traps and forget our own history, cultures and traditions.’’ she added in her message.
She called to build a resistance unitedly against such cultural servitude and to make a democratic country.
“On the first day of the Bangla year, I pray for everyone’s welfare, peace and prosperity. Pohela Boishakh brings pure happiness for all people and will remove falsehood, injustice, lawlessness and unrest from the country,’’ she hoped.
She also prayed for all to almighty Allah with diligently for peace and happiness in their personal, family and national lives on the occasion of Pohela Boishakh ( the first day of Bangla New Year).
