Case filed against top BNP leaders including Fakhrul, Moudud


Dhaka, October 02: A case was filed against over hundred leaders and activists of BNP including party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan and Goyeshwar Chandra Roy.Sub Inspector Shafiqul Islam of Hatirjheel police station filed the case for creating obstacle to police’s duty and over allegation of sabotage on Monday.

The case number is 3/144.

According to the case information, the accused being united and armed on Sunday night at 8:30 obstructed the police to perform their duties at Mogbazar rail gate areas.

They attacked police with an intention to kill them. They vandalized vehicles and hurled cocktails which created panic among the public.

Officer in Charge of Hatirjheel police station Md. Fazlul Karim confirmed the matter and said, seven BNP leaders and activists of different wards and thanas were arrested in this connection.

According to the case information, among the accused there were also central leaders of BNP including Aman Ullah Aman, Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
