Kurigram, Jan 18: Border Security Force (BSF) of India allegedly killed a Bangladeshi national by torturing and two others seriously injured in Shaljhor border area of Bhurungamari upazila early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Goni, 40, a cattle trader and resident of Dakhshin Daldanga village of Shilkhuri union of the upazila.
According to the victim’s family members, BSF picked three cattle traders including Goni while they were bringing cattle through the border early in the morning.
Later, they tortured the cattle traders, which left Goni dead and two others injured.
Latiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhurungamari Police Station, said they had heard the news.
