BNP leader Salahuddin goes to New Delhi from Shillong for better treatment

Dhaka, Mar 11: BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed, who was staying at Shillong, the capital of the Indian state of Meghalaya, with ill health, went to New Delhi, the capital of India, for better treatment.

Salahuddin got admitted to a hospital in New Delhi and was taking treatment there, a close aide of Salahuddin Ahmed told media.

The authority concerned of Shillong was submitted a charge-sheet after a case filed against him under the Foreigners Act of India for illegal trespassing.

Afterward, a Shillong court granted him conditional bail. The condition of the court was that he would have to report to the police super’s office there every week.

A source said that a session court of Shillong gave him permission to take treatment from any state of India following a petition filed by Salahuddin Ahmed.

The source said complications arose in the left kidney of Salahuddin. The condition of his kidney is now very bad. He has also been suffering from cardiovascular and skin diseases.

Salahuddin has been seeking advice from doctors regularly. Several physicians in Shilliong have been conducting the treatment of his kidney, heart and skin diseases.
