BNP leader Aslam on 7-day remand

Dhaka, May 16: A court in Dhaka on Monday granted 7-day remand for BNP joint secretary general Aslam Chowdhury and his personal assistant Asaduzzaman Mia each on charges of plotting with Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad.

Earlier in the day, DB inspector Golam Rabbani produced them before the court seeking 10-day remand.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sharafatuzzaman Ansari passed the order after hearing on Monday noon.

Earlier on Sunday, DB police detained Aslam from Kuril Bishwa Road area in Dhaka for his alleged conspiracy against Bangladesh with Israeli spy agency Mossad.
