BGB  held seven Bangladeshis on Benapole border


BENAPOLE, 6 sept: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members nabbed seven Bangladeshi nationals, who were trying to enter India illegally through Benapole border in Jessore district.

They were detained Sunday morning from Putkhali Char on the border. But no trafficker was arrested in the incident.

The detainees include Selim (35), son of Yusuf Ali; Haidar Ali Sheikh (65), son of Nur Mohammad and Kabir Hossain (30), son of Yusuf Hawladar of Bagerhat district; Jamal Hossain (27), son of Saheb Ali of Pirojpur district; Abdur Rahim (37), son of Amir Hossain and Alauddin (30), son of Abul Kalam Azad of Noakhali district and Ramzan Ali Mandal (50), son of Haji Elahi Box of Satkhira district.

BGB said that the detainees had been handed over to Benapole Port Thana.

Confirming the matter to the reporter, Benapole Port Thana assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Matiar Rahman said that a case has been filed regarding the matter.
