CEO Fahim released


Dhaka, Apr 25: KM Fahim Mashroor, chief executive officer of, has been released after he was arrested on Wednesday in a case filed with Kafrul Police Station on April 22 under Section 57 of the ICT Act.Earlier, a squad of cyber security and crime division of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Fahim from Kawran Bazaar area around 12.30pm.

Md Al Sadik, a former secretary of Dhaka University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, filed the case.

In accordance with the case details, Fahim was accused of spreading “propaganda, misleading information and post derogatory status and picture” about the premier on his facebook profile and as such he tarnished the image of the state as well as the government.

The arrestee was also accused of creating anarchy and deteriorating the law and order through his activities.
