Chittagong, November 21: A group of Bangladesh Chatra League (BCL) leaders and activists of Chittagong University (CU) unit allegedly vandalised a demu train and blockaded shuttle train services between the University and the port city on Monday morning protesting the death of a central BCL leader.

Some BCL leaders and activists of the Chittagong University unit allegedly vandalised a demu train at Fatehabad Railway Station.

Some leaders and activists also halted two shuttle trains at Sholoshahar area, causing the suspension of the rail communication between the University and the city.

Shahbuddin, stationmaster of Sholoshahar Railway Station, confirmed the news.

Diyaj Irfan Chowdhury, a central leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League, was found hanging in his rented house at Duinang Gate of the university on Sunday night.
