Dhaka: The government employees will enjoy a six-day vacation beginning from Friday next on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha across the country, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims.

The government service-holders will enjoy holidays for six days at a stretch as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared September 11 (Sunday) as holiday by an executive order.

September 11 was the only workday between the Eid holidays and the declaration of the day as a public holiday paved the way for a six-day vacation starting from Friday.

However, the government employees will have to make up for September 11 by attending offices on September 24 (Saturday).
