Dhaka, April 18: The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Monday announced name of 21 leaders assistant organizing secretaries including an organizing secretary of its national executive committee (NEC).
Senior joint secretary general of the party Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed made the announcement at a press briefing at the party’s central office.
Apart from this, assistant organizing secretaries are Advocate Abdus Salam and Shafiqul Islam (Dhaka Division), Mahbubur Rahman Shamim and Abul Hashem Babar (Chittagong Division), Abdul Matin Talikder and Shahin Sawkat (Rajshahi Division), Aninda Islam Amit and Joyanta Kumer Kundu (Khulna Division), Professor Akon Kuddusur Rahman and Mahbubul Haq Nannu (Barisal Division), Dildar Hossain Selim and Kalim Uddin Milon (Sylhet Division), Shamsuzzaman and Jahangir Hossain (Rangpur Division), Shariful Islam and Wares Ahmed (Mymensingh Division), Ali Newaz Khaiyam and Selimuzzaman Selim (Faridpur Division) and Moshtak Hossain and Abdul Awal Khan (Comilla Division).
The newly appointed organizing secretary is Col (retd) Anwarul Azim for Comilla Division.
With this, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia appointed a total of 39 leaders to her party’s national executive committee exercising the power bestowed upon her by the councillors at its 6th national council held on March 19.
