Dhaka, April 30: Two more members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) died from coronavirus on Wednesday night and early Thursday.The deceased were identified as ASI Abdul Khaleq of POM (Public Order Management ) South Division and constable Mohammad Ashek Mahmud, a zone constable at the airport Zone under Traffic North Division.
On April 26 BSMMU collected samples of constable Md. Ashek Mahmud as he had coronavirus symptoms, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of the DMP Masudur Rahman.
He was kept in isolation at Siddhiswari School and College after he was found positive for the virus in test report on April 27.
As his condition deteriorated on the evening of April 29, he was taken to the ICU of the Central Police Hospital (CPH) in Rajarbagh. He breathed his last at around 9.30 pm while undergoing treatment there, he said.
Meanwhile, ASI Abdul Khaleq of POM South Division showed coronavirus symptoms on April 28. IEDCR collected his samples on the same day.

The bodies of the two policemen have been sent to their respective village homes after Namaz-e-janaza at the Rajarbagh Central Jame Mosque at 12 noon on Thursday under police management..
Another constable of DMP died on Tuesday after contracting Covid-19.
